Broom Ball

A team game similar to field hockey, lacrosse, soccer and ice hockey. Check with your unit to a local hockey rink to see if they can support your unit in hosting this activity for your scouts or challenge another unit.

Broom ball could be used as an activity for your unit, as an open house event or multi-unit activity.  The Towpath district of Seneca Waterways Council hosts a Broom Ball tournement at a local ice rink to create a little friendly competition and fun for the units in its district.

What is Broom Ball?  Check out the Wiki-pedia link on broom ball to learn more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broomball

Towpath invitied teams of 6 to register for the round-robin style tournement.  This is perfect for generating some patrol spirit and creating an experience your patrols will remember for their life.

Towpath charged $15 for the event to cover rink rental, broom and safety gear rental.
