Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops

ILST - What is it?

ILST was a topic presented by my troop's boy leaders at our district round table.  The goal was to introduce other unit leaders to what this training was about, why their unit should consider running this training for their Scouts and how to have a successful course.

In this post, we share the presentation geared toward a round table as well as our troop's powerpont that our Scouts use for the course.

Camping

As one of the top Scouting facilities in the country, Ransburg has something to offer for every member of the troop.

Ransburg Scout Reservation

Established in 1966, Ransburg Scout Reservation is designed with one goal in mind: providing Scouts with immersive experiences. Over the decades, Ransburg has expanded its offerings to best serve the Scouts of central Indiana. The reservation, which is located along the banks of Lake Monroe, just outside Bloomington, Indiana, offers 17 different program areas, ensuring Scouts can pursue their interests. Over the summer, Ransburg hosts week-long camps for Scouts from all over the country.
